Today I will share my first cards from the Freshly Made Sketches. I love their designers' clean and simple sketches, but haven't had the nerve to participate in the challenges, until now. I hope you all like it.

All the products used are from Close to My Heart. The paper is now retired, but very cute. The Happy Birthday stamp is also from a now retired stamp set.
And as I promised yesterday, here's the layout I worked on this last week. It's a picture of our last trip to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA. My mother and nephew had never been and we decided to take them on a nice, warm, not too hot day in June last year. I used the also retired paper pack Moon Doggie. This paper has mostly a Hawaiian theme to it, however, for this layout it's perfect as the day we went to the aquarium, they were having "Polanisian Days". I also used my Cricut with the Life's a Beach cartridge. This happens to be one of my favorite cartridges. I love the font and the fish and shark I used on this layout are kinda cute and whimsical.
The picture has a lot of brightness to it and I apologize for this. I'm still learning how to get pictures on my blog and edit them correctly. That's me next to mom on the left and my daughter is to the far right with my two beautiful grandkids.
Here's a close up of the shark, fish and the font. This is all for today. I hope you all enjoyed this and leave me a comment. I love constructive critism and/or tips on how to make my blog better.
And don't for get if you would like to purchase any Close to my Heart products, the link to my webpage is above.

I'm so glad you chose to join us this week - you've made a wonderful birthday card! All I'm hearing at the moment is Hunger Games -I didn't even know there was a book - let alone books (plural) and now a movie! I need to get with the times. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week.
