Fall, please, please get here!!

Hello friends!  I am so over this heat!!  If you are in a part of the country, or the world for that matter, where Summer just refuses to go away, you know what I'm talking about.
We have not seen a day below 90 degrees in the last few weeks and today our weather forecast was for more heat!! In the triple digits even!!

I'm ready for Fall and some cool weather.

I worked on some projects this last weekend and posted some cards I entered in some challenges, but today I want to share a layout I created with my youngest daughter's first day of school pages.  She is a freshmen in high school and I'm still finding it hard to believe. Really where does the time go??

I apologize for the lighting on the picture.  I took the picture at night in my bedroom and is not the best for picture taking.

Anywho, here it is.

I used some old paper I had from Carolee's Creations. I'm not sure if they're still under the same name. The cardstock is from Close to my Heart. Brads, ribbons and twine from my stash. Punches from Recollections(large scallop) and Stampin Up!

I made a banner and the date tag with my Cricut and the Art Philosophy cartridge.

I hope you enjoyed this small project. Is not much, but I promised my self I would try and post as often as I could.  It will be tough since choir concert season is about to begin for my daughter as well as her theater classes. I believe I will manage. Somehow I find I work better under pressure. Don't let my boss hear this. LOL.
