I hope everyone is having a good holiday and day off from work/school. I have been a little neglectful, to say the least, of my blog and for that I apologize. Life has been challenging at the Ross residence.
We started the month of August with me getting sick and still trying to get rid of a nagging chronic cough I've had. Dr. thinks may have to do with allergies, but who knows.
Towards the middle of the month my husband had back surgery for the second time in the last 5 yrs, however, he is doing remarkably good. Thank God for that.
So between, illness, kids going back to school. This includes my youngest starting high school, (sniff, sniff, that's my baby!!) and my middle child starting college, that I'm sure a lot of you can relate. It's a juggling act in itself.
Anyhow, since things seemed to be getting back to normal and the new activities and schedules falling into place, I'm hoping to get some much needed scrapbooking and card making going. I have a couple of layouts I was able to complete this weekend. I hope you enjoy them.
On this layout I used pattern paper from Close to my Heart and used the Cuttin' up Cartridge. I don't own any cartridges or dies that include any game chips, so I created my own with just a few circles. Not bad huh! LOL
Close up of the Time4fun die cut.
I the second layout craft cardstock is from Close to my Heart and the pattern paper is from Jellibean. I saw this paper at one of our local scrapbook stores about a week ago and I immediately thought of the many pictures I have of our youngest grandson with my husband. They are very closed and truly enjoy watching T.V. together. The title was created using rub ons from Doodle Bug Design.
Since I have quite an extensive stash of buttons, I decided to try using more of them on my projects. Here I added a smaller button on top of a bigger one to give it another look.
I thank you all who visit my blog and don't forget to mention it to your friends. Until next time and I do hope is soon.
Happy Scrappin'!!
Alma
