I know I haven't been blogging lately. Actually, it's been a few months since my last post. I'm sure I would be preaching to the choir if I say life is just too busy, so I won't.
I sincerely want to blog more often this year and I hope to get to post at least twice a week. I've never been one to make new year's resolutions, as I hate to have to break them later on.
That being said, let me tell you that I do have a few things I would like to accomplish this year. I want to post them here that way I have some sort of motivation. Here's my list. The numbering does not indicate order of priority or importance in any way.
1. Teach my daughters to sew. All three have been asking for a while now and I think I need to make the time to do that while they're interested.
2. Make more time for crafting. This past year I seemed to be consumed with work obligations, and didn't make enough time for. I have to since this is the best stress reliever there is. Don't you all agree?
3. Try to be more patient with people around me. Remembering that we are not all equal. We all think different and have different priorities. Be aware that what is a priority for me, is not necessarily a priority for someone else and that it's OK.
4. Visit my mother more often. This one is a big one. I want to talk and hear everything she has to say as she gets older and she wants to share more stories and advice with me. Some of which I've never heard before.
5. Along the same lines of number 5, spend more time with my sister. We have not been to closed in the past few years, but I want to make a strong effort to do so.
6. Make more time and push for a date night with my husband. Now that our kids are older, my youngest is now 14, I believe is time of us to do more stuff together as a couple rather than as parents.
7. Spend more "girl" time with my girlfriends.
I hope this keeps me motivated and when this year comes to an end, I can look back and see how much I've accomplished of my personal goals.
With this I will like to share a card I made last weekend. It was supposed to be an entry for a challenge, but I ran out of time to post. Sigh!
Here you go. Hope you enjoy it and don't forget I love you comments!
This is the card I made for Shopping Our Stash. The challenge was to make a card with a Winter theme, but NOT a Christmas or Holidays card. I made this for a co-worker who always helping others. I will give her this card as a thank you. I cup and steam diecuts are from the Cricut cart Best Images of 2007.
Stamped sentiments is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps -A Cup of Cocoa set.
I Stamped and used the same punched circle and scalloped circle as on the front of the card and stamped another sentiment from the same set. Sorry the picture is not that clear, but you can see a close up of it on the picture below.
Here's the stamped sentiment. I just think is perfect!
Hope you all come back and visit when I make my next post. Until then,
