It's Finally Friday!!!
I'm so happy the weekend is here. Not that I have anything plan. I just need a couple of days off to clean house, yuck, and to do some crafting, yeeepee!
Why is it that when we have a holiday on a Monday, the week seems longer? Or is it just me? :)
Today I came home from work and got to work on two cards for two challenges. I have been for weeks now, trying to use up my stash of supplies. We have the Scrapbook Expo coming to our area in October and I have to make room for new goodies. Not to mention, I have to show the hubby that my stash is getting low, wink, wink.
Enough chatter and let me get to the cards. The first card is for CAS(E) this sketch! #44 by Chrissy Larson. I typically use more paper, as in layers, on my cards, but part of the game is getting out of your comfort zone, agreed? OK. Alma move on. Here's the sketch:
And here's my take on it:
I colored in some of the thanks letters and added some bling from my stash.
I hope you all enjoy and like my card. I think is simple, but cute.
My next card is my challenge entry for Freshly Make Sketches #102. I really enjoyed making this card. The recipient will be one of our administrative assistants at work. She is always going out of her way to do more for us when need something. We love her!
Here's this week's sketch:

And here's my card:
For this card I used pattern paper and the die for the trim from Paper Trey Ink - Turning a New Leaf paper pad. Stamps are from Stampin' Up!
The crinkle ribbon is from My Craft Spot in Gingerbread Cookies.
The die used for the sentiment and leaves stamp is from Spellbinders and pearls from Queen and Co.
I will try and work on some scrapbook pages this weekend, as my photos are getting a little neglected. My youngest grandson is about to have a birthday and I still haven't scrapbook his birthday pictures from last year's party. Yikes! better get on with it.
Once again, I thank you for visiting my blog and hope you leave me some comments. Until my next post.
Happy Scrappin'!!
I love your fun paper stripes. Thanks for playing along with us in the CAS(E) this sketch! challenge and hope to see you again.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Love the border and your pretty bow.
ReplyDeleteWow, Alma! I love both cards, but I am especially crazy about the second one. I love the colors and the coordination of papers and embellishments.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cindy. I just love when a pack of paper coordinates. It makes it a lot easier. Have a great week!
DeleteGreat cards!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for playing along with CAS(E) this Sketch!
