Happy Thursday and Friday's Eve. As we approach the last Summer Holiday, I'm excited to Fall being near. Now if we could only get rid of this HEAT!!! We are having horrible, hot, humid weather. Triple digits to be exact. You would think being a native Californian I would love this weather, but I don't. I'm much prefer the cold weather. It doesn't help that I happen to have my own "personal Summers", if you know what I mean ha ha ha.
Anywho, enough of hot weather and aging. Today I have a card to share with you. I made this one to participate in two challenges: Freshly Made Sketches and Hiding in My Craft Room. I covered two different challenges in this card. Freshly Made sketches's challenge is the following sketch:

The HIMCR challenge is to make the card for a Masculine birthday. Without anything further, here's my card.
I used pattern paper from Simple Stories and scraps of cardstock from my stash. I love when I can use those scraps, since I have a really hard time throwing them away. The sentiment stamp on the front of the card is from a set from Avocado Arts.
I added a piece of silver cording I used for ornaments a while back. Again, small pieces I didn't throw away and came in handy.
I apologize for the bad photo. I used my point and shoot camera and I was half asleep, so wasn't not paying attention to the lighting. The balloons stamps are from Avocado Arts and the Happy Birthday is from one of my favorite stamps out there My Craft Spot.
Here's a close up of the balloons. I added a little shimmer pen in the middle. I was going to balloon look : )
I hope you enjoy my small contribution to the paper crafting community. Thanks for visiting and I appreciate your comments. Until my next post.
Happy Scrapppin'
Alma
I love the bright, fun chevron paper! And the polka dots add such a nice texture. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful masculine card! That silver cord is a great touch. Glad you joined us this week at FMS!
