Despicable ME Birthday Layout

Hello there friends!

A quick post about some layouts I've been working on.  As a lot, if not most of us paper crafters out there, my first love in crafting is and will be Scrapbooking.  I started this obsession hobby to create memories for me and those I love to enjoy now and in the future.
My children each have albums of their own that I created for them and I still love to see their faces when they pull one out and go over the memories those pictures bring to them.
I know  you all scrapbookers out there know exactly what I'm talking about.
Now, as much as this is my first love in  paper crafting, I have to admit that I haven't put many pages or albums together in quite a while. Not because I don't want to, but because the busy schedule I have.  It has become a easier to get some instant gratification by making a card here and there. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE making cards, tags and such smaller creations, however, I decided to try really hard to make time and put some of those pictures that keep piling up( yes I haven't stop taking pictures,so the pile is for ever growing)  up in pages and in turn in albums.
So with that, here's a layout I worked on over the past weekend.  Is about my youngest grandson's 4th Birthday party. He loves the characters and the movie Despicable Me and those little minion guys.
My daughter and I made the invites for his party and some of the decorations, including the minions on this layout.

I tried to match the colors to the characters and the pinata his uncle bought him.
Isn't that a cute little guy?? He was so sad when it was time to break the pinata, but he got over it real quick when the candy started falling out. Ha!

I used my cricut to cut this Bananas phrase. I thought it was perfect since the minions love bananas, I am bananas for my grandson and the number 4, for this 4th birthday.  I added some glitter to the letters, because I just love glittery stuff.
More glitter on the letters for his name.
Here's one of the minions and one  of the center pieces Grandma, that's me, made for the tables.

So hope you all enjoy it.  As always I say, please leave my your comments.  I will be back very soon to share some other layouts I've been working on.  Until then.

Happy Scrappin'!!

Alma
